While travelling up north I have decide to pay a visit to the Angel of the North.  Awesome statue that stands over standing 66 feet (20 metres) tall, with wings measuring 178 feet (54 metres) across.  It’s a testament on what man can achieve and believed to be the largest statue in the world.

Convoy

Travelling up north on the A1 and saw a convoy of armored vehicles carrying tanks there had to be at least 20 of them, awesome sight.  I would hate to P*ss these guy off….

Holiday

I was thinking to myself I have 2 weeks left holiday to take, work was getting a bit thick.  So said what the “f**k” I will go on holiday and spend some of that money have been saving for a rainy day.

So I have decided to take a holiday up in Scotland for 2 weeks by staying with relatives and travelling around and taking in the sights.

Silverstone

For my brother birthday present I took him and myself to Silverstone to watch the Avon Tyres Race.  I have never been to an event at Silverstone for a race like this other that for the F1 race, awesome cars on display.

I was able to get up close to the cars I can only dream about with my pay cheque, also I was able to get into the pit garages of the cars and speak to the crews up close.

The only disappointment to the was the Aston Martins had to retire due to engine failure bugger, but hell the sound they make is incredible.  I want one now so badly.........

Red Bull Air Race

Catching up on the sporting event, I attended the Red Bull Air Race again this year which is held in London near the 02 arena.  Another awesome event which was unpredictable due to the weather, and a few pilots which were favorites to win the event were either disqualified due to dangerous flying or poor times made it one of the most enjoyable races ever.

Also at the event was there was Motorstorm Playstation 3 game showing there second installment of there game. I have put this on my shopping list for sure.

Lego Star Wars

Recently I have been obsessed with building Lego Star Wars. It has kind of taken over my life as the last 3 weeks I have been oblivious of my surroundings. Now I have a Lego star wars corner.

Now that I have finished the models due to lack of funds, Damn it. I have found I will have 2 new housemates by the end of the month. I am begging the landlord to only have fit mid twenties females in the house I live and hope. I will keep you posted on this.

Science Museum

While I was in London was week (09.06.08) I made my way over to the Science Museum, I was amazed to find the museum was free to enter. Anyway kid in side me was set free OMG, I lost 5 hours of my life in there and I only cover half of the building and fun things to do.

Foo Fighter

I am a bit late with this posting but oh well. I was lucky enough to see the foo fighter live at wembley. The ticket I got was a very late xmas present from my brother but the event was well worth it. I have never been to a concert on this scale there was 86.000 fans it was amazing sight and feel. Most weird thing was the supporting band was supergrass, i didn't know they still existed.

I have never been a foo fighters fan, but since been there all all I listen to in my car if the foo fighter albums they rock.
